3 Treasures Beginner Qigong with Jonah Marsh, 11 am to 12:30 pm. Qigong refers to movement practices developed in ancient China which were designed to create a strong flow of vital energy, or Qi, in the human body. This is an introductory level Qigong class which will cover some basics of Chinese medicine and the concept of self-healing. We will cover the concept of Qi from Eastern and Western perspectives as well as some basic anatomy. With these simple exercises combined with proper breathing, one is able to develop a strong flow of Qi in the body and and a calm, relaxed mind which promotes good health and vitality. Ideally these classes should be taken in a set of three as each focuses on specific fundamentals of Qigong and Chinese medicine; however, drop-ins to each class are also welcome. The cost for an individual class is $20. Get ready to pull some Qi!
